Vacatia ClubhouseKids Activities at Parkway
Often the part of an Orlando family vacation that everyone remembers.
A few days in, families at Parkway settle into a rhythm of their own. The kids find their favorite pool. They learn the schedule. They make friends at the arcade and ask to go back to the Activity Center tomorrow. And somewhere in all of that, parents find a little time back. Kids love the variety. Parents love that almost none of it involves a screen.
Younger Kids Love:
The two children’s pools, the splash pads with their tipping water buckets, the playground, snow cones at the pool, and craft time at the Activity Center.
Older Kids & Teens Go For:
The pickleball and sand volleyball courts, the 24-hour arcade, dive-in movies at the pools, and the outdoor fitness area.
And most of it is included. The pools, splash pads, playground, courts, indoor movie theatre, Activity Center, and most weekly activities are part of the stay. You can spend a full day on property without buying a ticket to anything. For a family running a multi-park itinerary, that adds up quickly. The activities that do require cash or credit card are: Select Crafts, The Arcade, and Scuba Diving.
Free Play, All Day
On any given afternoon at Parkway, kids tend to disperse. Some are at one of the children’s pools. Some are running between splash pads, waiting for the water bucket to tip. The older ones are on the pickleball court or shooting hoops. None of it is on a schedule. The resort spreads play across the property so kids can drift between things on their own terms, and parents can lounge at the pool that suits them.
- Two children’s pools and two splash pads with tipping water buckets and misting spots, plus seven heated pools across the property.
- Children’s playground, open daily from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
- Pickleball, shuffleboard, sand volleyball, basketball, badminton, horseshoes, and cornhole.
The Kids Activity Center
On the days you want a real break, the Activity Center becomes a fan favorite. Drop into a craft session, a paint table, face painting, or one of the gaming stations, and the kids are happily occupied for an hour or two.
They also have a library of games, puzzles, and books. Younger children do require an adult to accompany them. Programming rotates throughout the week and is open to all ages. Returning families love the Activity Center and tend to plan around it.
What’s On This Week
Beyond the amenities kids can use any time, the resort runs a changing schedule through the week. Most of it is included, nearly none of it requires planning, and the activities lineup is handed to you at check-in.
- Poolside snow cones on hot afternoons.
- Dive-in movies are shown at the pools after dark.
- Dance lessons, most kids try once and then ask to do again.
- Poolside bingo.
- Dance and aqua fitness classes at select pools also available for parents who want to move.
- Scuba lessons every Wednesday, a surprise hit with curious kids.
We Are Also Rainy-Day Ready
Some afternoons unravel. Rain rolls in. Naps run long. Energy levels mismatch. The Activity Center plus these indoor spaces are open for exactly those moments.
Arcade: Open 24 hours a day, every day of the week. Cash or credit card required.
Indoor Movie Theatre: A comfortable spot for the whole family to catch a film together. Inquire at the front desk about the movie schedule.
Activities for Teens
Teens can be the trickiest age to plan an Orlando trip around. Parks lose some of their pull, the rest of the family is on a different rhythm, and “what do you want to do?” can be a loaded question. Parkway gives teens a few options to get to on their own, in their own time.
24-hour arcade, basketball, and pickleball courts. They tend to be the first ones they find.
Outdoor Fitness Area: Open-air fitness equipment available on property.
Three Indoor Fitness Centers: Open daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Guests must be at least 16 years old to use the fitness centers.
Walk the Nature Trails: Spot Wildlife
Not every part of a family vacation needs to be loud. The resort’s walking trails wind through natural areas where kids can spot ducks, turtles, and birds. It makes for a calm start to the morning or a gentle way to stretch tired legs after a park day.
